The words are: "He roa te wa ki Tipirere / He tino mamao, / He roa te wa ki Tipirere / Ki taki kotiro. / E noho Pikatiri / Hei kona Rehita Koea. / He mamao rawa Tipirere / Ka tae ahua.The crest or logo of a Maori group, (the NZ M.C.E. or N.Z.M.E.C.) is shown at top left. The words around the edge are "Hoko Whitu-a-tu" (the 28 Maori Battalion).
