Historical Notes: Original newspaper caption reads: "The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) packing his own bag this morning at his Pipitea street home before he leaves tonight for a month's trip to a number of world capitals. Just in case, Mr Holyoake is taking with him a small packet of antibiotics to ward off illness, particularly the violent Mao flu which has affected millions of people in the Northern Hemisphere. Mr Holyoake leaves tonight from Auckland for Honolulu. His first mission is the Commonwealth Prime Ministers' conference starting in London on Monday morning".
