Two unidentified hunters, each holding a double barrelled shotgun, standing alongside a row of dead pheasants hung up by their necks. Three dogs are alongside. The men wear hats, waistcoats, trousers, and calf length boots. The photograph, taken by James McAllister in 1912, appears to have been taken in a timber yard, probably in the Taranaki region.
