Inscriptions: Inscribed - Recto - beneath image: Capt Clendon's [in ink]; Manawahora [in pencil] with an additional note 'A full stomach' - possibly Taylor's translation of the Maori name Manawahora (correctly Manawaora) which means 'a healthy heart'
