View down into a steep valley and the Moawhango River, now the site of the upper area of the Moawhango dam. On one side of the valley, and spanning the river can be seen walkways where men from the Ministry of Works used drilling equipment to test the rock structures of the site. Photographed by an unknown photographer in 1965.
