Seated portrait photograph of Eria Tutara-Kauika Raukura (Ngai Tahupo, Tuhoe and Ngati Kahungunu), the leading tohunga of the Ringatu church, shown reading the Bible. He is wearing vestments of his own design - the cuffs and collar, bordered with gold braid, bear the words `Holy Church' in English and Maori. Photograph taken circa 1910s, by an unidentified photographer.
