Copy of a photograph in an unidentified book, the original photographer also unidentified. The copy was photographed by Albert Percy Godber in 1903. Image shows two Indians seated on the back of an elephant, with the body of a panther tied across the elephant. The negative shows the full inscription from the original book, but the file print shows only the picture.

Inscriptions: Inscribed - Recto - bottom centre: "Big-game shooting in India - a panther's funeral. Very possibly the plague of a neighbouring village this panther has at last fallen to the rifle of a British sportsman and has been brought into camp to be skinned ..."
