Historical Notes: On the 17th of October 1992 the Sisters of Compassion celebrated 100 years of service with a mass at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Mother Mary Aubert founded the Sisters of Compassion and her portrait was being taken to be on display in the cathedral during the mass.
