The social hall at the Hutt Railway Workshops, decorated for a ball in 1930. Bentwood chairs are placed all around the room, leaving the floor bare, and the ceiling is decorated with streamers, balloons and lanterns. There is a comfortable seating area on the stage with several soft chairs and two standard lamps. Beside the stage is a board with the inscription "Social Hall. Hutt Workshops. Programme. Waltz.
