Original Evening Post caption reads: "Mr Len Southward beside the car that was the start of the multi-million dollar Southward Car Museum, which is to open its doors to the public on Saturday. Mr Southward bought the Ford Model T in 1956 for 40 pounds...The opening marks the end of two years' construction work on the 4000 square metre, two-storey building at Otaihanga..."
