Historical Notes: "Landfall" was directed by Paul Maunder for the New Zealand National Film Unit in 1975. Actors included Sam Neill, Gael Anderson, John Anderson, Rowena Zinsli, and Denise Maunder. It is a story about four young New Zealanders who move back to the land trying to return to an uncomplicated lifestyle, but tensions build among the group until violence erupts.
