Seated portrait of an unidentified man wearing a suit with an ecclesiastical collar. Shows a man aged approximately 60, with side burns and whiskers under his chin. He wears a dark coloured suit and waistcoat, with a top hat. Two broad white pieces of fabric hang below his white bow tie. He holds an unidentified book under one arm. Photograph taken by William James Harding between 1860-1890, probably in the Wanganui region.
