Carol Cunningham of Auckland presenting the first pressing of a record "Haere-mai" which was produced as part of a tourist promotion campaign called "Haere-mai Year". Looking on is Mr D Grylls who was the foreman of the Petone factory where the record was made. Photographed on the 20th of April 1966 by an Evening Post staff photographer.

Historical Notes: Carol Cunningham was the "Miss Maori Welcome" for the focal point of the project. She was also a singer, and introduced each track on the "Haere-mai recording.
