Arthur's Pass Railway Station showing the overhead electric power lines after electrification of the line between Arthur's Pass and Otira. Steam locomotive "Q" 338 is coming towards the camera. Historical Notes: "Q" class locomotive 338 (4-6-2 type) was bbuilt by Baldwin (maker's no. 19202/01), went into service in March 1902 and was written off in February 1948. See "Register of New Zealand Railways Locomotives, 1863-1971" by W G Lloyd.
