Lysaght, Patrick J :Funeral procession, Hokitika, March 8th 1868

Shows a Fenian mock funeral with a priest and an editor leading Irish miners to plant a Celtic cross. The group is moving towards the Hokitika graveyard, on a road curving through tall trees, watched by a large crowd of onlookers. The cemetery is on a low hill, with flat land and the coastline visible to the right.
