Depicts Plimmerton Beach with Mana Island visible out to sea. Visible is the Ngati Toa urupa (burial place) with fencing and crosses similar to the urupa fencing at Rangiatea, Otaki; however the view may also be a copy of part of G. F. Angas' 1844 drawing of Rangihaeata's Pa at Plimmerton.
