Historical Notes: Te Ao Marama, Ohinemutu, was a meeting house owned by the Bennett family. It was given by them to St Faith's Church for use as a Parish Hall, and was used by the Board of Maori Arts when they established the Rotorua Carving School in the 1930s. See "Maori meeting houses of the North Island" by John C M Cresswell, p 44.
