Friendly combat between two unidentified Maori men, alongside the gateway to Mataatua Pa, circa 1910. Both hold taiaha (traditional Maori fighting staffs). The name of the ancestor Te Tahi o Te Rangi is written above the gateway. Photograph taken by Thomas Pringle.
