Williams, Samuel, 1788-1853 :Landing of the Rev. S. Marsden in New Zealand, Dec. 19, 1814 [London, 1847]

Samuel Marsden standing on shore, his hand extended to a group of Maori with the palisades of a pa beyond them to the left. Behind Marsden is a group of four European men wearing top hats. A sailor in a rowboat is at the water's edge, the sails of a large yacht are beyond the group, there are canoes in the background and the mission ship in the background. The landing was at Rangihoua Bay
