Boat which brought illegal Korean immigrants to Japan, at Shimonoseki, Between 1946 and 1948

Original caption reads: "NZEF in Japan. Shimonoseki. Illegal immigrants, numbers of Koreans all of whom land without permits are taken to Shimonoseki Prison where they are interrogated by Intelligence Section Officers of 2 NZEF (Japan), and the Japanese Civil Police. Here is an Intelligence Section team: Cpl J A Jamieson (Wellington), Sgt D Dalgliesh (Sydney) and Pte J N Clarke (Masterton) examining a 30 foot craft which carried 30 Koreans." Photograph taken between 1946 and 1948 by a New Zealand Army photographer.
