Watercolour sketch (possibly by the Reverend Richard Taylor), dated 3 December 1870, of Taylor's house at Putiki on the banks of the Whanganui River. A note on the sketch reads: "from a little below [?] Williams monument". Looks over an area by the Whanganui River. Shows a fenced property with a two storied house, circular driveway, and a group of smaller buildings. A church is amongst trees behind the house. Further beyond lies the river and a two masted steamboat.
