Minhinnick, Gordon (Sir), 1902-1992 :The point of view. 30 August 1951.

Reference Number: E-549-q-04-133

A voter standing in front of a fence, puzzling about how to place his vote. Behind the fence is a menacing figure, apparently a Communist, a baton raised ready to hit the voter. To the voter's left stands Walter Nash, stating 'We've got nothing to do with the Communists' To the right is Sidney Holland, rolling up his sleeves, ready to engage in battle with the Communist figure and stating 'We've got plenty to do to the Communists'. Refers to the fear of Communism and its influence on left-wing political parties, as well as to the fear of its spread to capitalist countries.
