A scene in Hawaii in 1778. Hawaiian men are seated on the ground around four European men, and are offering suckling pigs. Behind the Europeans stands a figure in a tall mask, and in the background is a fenced enclosure containing a steep-roofed thatched building. There are palms and other native vegetation at left and right.
