Party of police en route to Maungapohatu, prior to the raid that resulted in the arrest of Ngai Tuhoe prophet Rua Kenana. Includes: John Neil (left of the constable holding Bob Baillie's fox terrier), William Cobeldick (far left, in broad white hat), and Bartholomew Sheehan (in insepector's uniform).
