Historical Notes: These police officers established the police dog training centre at Trentham, Upper Hutt, in 1956. They were again at Trentham to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the centre which consisted of an informal gathering at the Trentham Race Course on the 26th of June, the centre open to former dog handlers and their wives during the morning of 27 June followed by a dog handling demonstration at the new police training centre at Porirua, and a function at Trentham Race Course in the evening.
