Shows William Massey as a fierce bulldog, standing on a New Zealand flag, growling at Joseph Ward, who is stuck at the top of a fragile tree trunk to the left. The flag is marked 'Our own Navy', the tree trunk bears a sign 'No local Navy', and a parrot on the left calls out 'Is it safe?' referring to the breaking trunk mounted by Ward.
