Unidentified settler family outside their cob cottage in Canterbury during the 1860s. Shows a man and a woman with three children, alongside the vine covered entrance to the house. The man is reading a newspaper. A maid looks out one of the windows. Photographer unidentified (possibly A C Barker?).
