Lambton Quay, Wellington, circa 1930, photographed by S P Andrew. Taken from opposite the Central Hotel and bottle store, with a florist's shop in the left foreground. A sign on the hotel advertises Dewars Whisky. A verandah covers the footpath. It has been raining, and pedestrians are wearing coats. The Union Bank of Australia is visible in the centre.
