Foreground: courthouse and beyond that the town hall. Shops opposite from left to right: Ted Wilkie's store built by W Burt, Tom Boyd's blacksmiths shop, where P D Davis later erected the first brick building, Richardson's butchery, then Bank of New Zealand.
