(A fellow passenger aboard the Duke of Portland, asleep in Pearse's cabin, with various object hanging on the cabin wall, including a briefcase, a mirror, a pipe and hats). No. 2. The schoolmaster and his proper cap - inclined for a bully (the schoolmaster teaching a group of children, the rod he uses for punishment hanging prominently in the background). No. 4 Mrs Marks, wife of man-of-war man - volunteer schoolmistress [and] Bullying again (two schoolroom views of a female and a male teacher). No. 4. Schoolmaster more pleasant today - but not much so [and] Spinning a yarn (Another schoolroom view, and three men chatting on board ship)
