Wineera Te Kanae

Portrait of Wineera Te Kanae, seated wearing a european suit. He appears to be about 50 years of age. The portrait is surrounded with a decorated mat board and well carved picture frame. The frame was carved by Piwiki Horohau, of Ngati Raukawa and Ngati Toa descent, about the time he carved the meeting house Toa Rangatira (ca 1900).
