[Taylor, Richard], 1805-1873 :Hakaraia a grand korero at Parikino. Old Pharaoh. Mar[ch] 27, 1854.

Reference Number: E-296-q-164-4

Shows a group listening to a man (old Pharaoh) standing in the right foreground, with whare and hills in the background. It is possible that "Old Pharaoh" may be Sir Donald McLean; he was sometimes known as Pharaoh (Dictionary of NZ Biography, volume 1, page 257), and did have dealings with Maori in the Wanganui area. However, it may well be a Maori man of that name.
