This cartoon shows the computer room at the Department of Statistics. The computer is huge and has reel to reel tapes, flashing lights and switches. In one end people are feeding data about price rises into a slot labelled Feed Facts Here and out of the other end labelled Findings Here is a long tape of printed data. The computer is blowing a fuse as it cannot cope
