Terrified and angry cows on their backs are lined up in hospital beds under the sign 'Cow Hospital - Foot & Mouth Dept.' A 'doctor' with an 'Acme Flame Thrower' back pack is consulting a list. One cow has been ignited by another 'doctor" and is being withdrawn through the curtains in a cloud of smoke. The cartoonist acknowledges Gary Larsen's idea.
