Historical Notes: According to the artist's inventory, these designs are for the NZ Opera Company's 1962 production of "Carmen". However, the names "Kiri" and "Don" indicate that the drawings were used for the company's 1969 production, starring Kiri Te Kanawa and Donald Smith. A further check with the artist indicated that the dating on his inventory was incorrect. These designs were used once only.
