[Dolberg, Nola Luxford] 1897?-1994 :Glass-topped medal case containing medals, badges, brooches, etc. [1940s-50s]., Reference Number Curios-029-021 (1 digitised items)
Extent: 1 curio(s)Paua and gold, on metal chain, length 365 mm.. Curios
Historical Notes: Dated 1940s on the assumption that it is the same necklace as that presented to Miss Luxford in 1947. No connection has been established between "Wilderness Gems of New Zealand" (label on present box) and the Returned Soldiers' Association of Disabled Servicemen. In fact, the Dominion's report of 28 January 1947, page 5, reports that the medal presented was at that time "encased in a small box of polished New Zealand-grown wood".
