Five insects with their Maori names and two lancewood leaves, the latter from Mousted's Bush near Auckland. The insects are the weta (seen from above and the side), mawitiwiti (dragonfly) (seen from above and the side), and a stick insect ra or wairaka, described as a species of native mantis. There are also notes about the habits of the insects..
