Williams, Herbert William 1860-1937 :Designs of ornamentation on Maori rafters. Nos. 4, 5, 6 [1890s]

No. 4: 'Kowhaiwhai Kupe Rua. From a house at Te Kure-a-Tuatai, near Gisborne. A careful examination will show this to be identical with 2'. No. 5: 'A pattern once very popular in Poverty Bay'. No. 6: 'Mango-tipi - the straight cross bars are not in accordance with strict Maori art. No. 17 is an earlier form' (transcription from Williams' notes at the front of the volume)
