Scene inside a pa, with soldiers on guard and seated on the ground, a white horse pulling a cart to the left. The watercolour is a likely to be a copy of a watercolour by Colonel Edward Arthur Williams and is almost the same, apart from the placement of the soldiers, as a watercolour by Williams in the Turnbull Library entitled Picket at Nukumaru, 30 Jan.y 65. (A-210-019)
