Historical Notes: The Graham family moved to Franz Josef after David Graham died in 1900. Isabella, David's wife, was a nurse and midwife, and at Franz Josef she became post mistress, ran a store and took paying guests. David and Isabella's sons Peter and Alec took over the farm when their brothers left the area. (Info from DNZB Vol 3 1901-1920, pp.184-85)
