Inscriptions: Inscribed - Back of file print reads: D M Prendergast (Te Awamutu) 21 NZ Bn surveys a notice which tells its own story. A few yards past this notice the road crosses a railway line giving an unobstructed view of the banks of the Senio River. The enemy fires regularly with spandaus down this section.
