Shows St Thomas's church, Mission Bay, founded 1843; Rangitoto Island in the background, the foreground unfinished. The church is shown, possibly with ivy growing over the roof, possibly partly ruined. It is in an empty field of untended grass, with trees behind to the right, three cabbage trees and another tree in front.
