A scene in a photographer's studio, with 'Europe united for the Axis' and 'Have your Xmas photo taken now to impress U. S. A.' inscribed alongside the 'family group' being photographed. The central figure is Hitler, with Mussolini, heavily bandaged at his side. An empty boot marked 'Joe' (for Josef Stalin) and a cap marked 'Franco' (for Spain) are to one side. On the other side sits Japan, and in front, as a much smaller child, stands 'Hortny' with a cushion alongside, marked 'Quisling breed' inhabited by a group of mice. Almost hidden at the back is a small figure marked 'Rum'[ania]
