Hawkins, William Webster b. 1842 :Touching scene! On board the Kaikoura in Wellington Harbour. Feb. 5th 1867. W. W. H. meets his cousin T. G. B. 3rd officer on the Kaikoura, not having previously met since August 1864 or so.

A view on board the ship Kaikoura, with the artist shaking hands with his sailor cousin (T. G. B.), watched by a third sailor. The ship's bridge is visible in the background and ships at Wellington's wharves can be seen in the distance.
