A fenced structure set in a bush clearing. The structure has elaborately carved and painted posts and a cross beam at the front and a carved lean-to structure behind. Taller posts can be seen in the distance. The drawing is unfinished and mostly pencil, with watercolour only on the carved sections of the mausoleumCarved by Te Rangihaeata (Ngati Toa) on the death of his mother Waitohi, the elder sister of Te Rauparaha, to house her remains.
