Portrait of Donald Francis McKenzie (b.1931) former professor of English at Victoria University, bibliographer and Trustee of the National Library. Painting started at the artist's studio and continued at subject's flat. Three-quarters portrait with the subject seated. A close friend had died at the time this portrait was taken and the subject looks unhappy, as a result. (Information from the subject and the artist)
