Historical Notes: D Picot owned one of the first motorised trucks in Karori and one of the first trucks to be used in business replacing horses and carts. The driver employed by D Picot at this time was Bert Dyer. D Picot and Co closed just after world war 2 due to the decline in demand for coal and wood as people switched to electricity (info from J Kenneally)
