Cuba Street, Wellington, circa 1896, showing the premises of Barber & Co, steam dyers and cleaners at no. 46. The sign painted on the top of the building reads "Established 1863. Wellington Dye Works". On the left, at no. 42, is the business of `J Walker - The noted fancier' (a bird shop).
