A Maori family, in traditional Maori clothing, reclining at the top of a cliff in the foreground, with an extensive view beyond of Palliser Bay, the sandbank formed at the mouth of the Ruamahanga River and Okorewa Pa, also at the mouth of the river on the flat land below.
