Historical Notes: Alexander LeGrand Campbell exhibited a painting called View in Queen Charlotte Sound at the inaugural exhibition of the Fine Arts Association in Wellington in March 1883. It may possibly be this watercolour.

"Anon" appears to be in another hand. Also inscription on back of backing board in the hand of a former staff member with title, date, former location, and (incorrect) artist's name.]
